Information You Provide
Search Terms
When a visitor types a name, county, or other term into a third-party search box, that query is sent to the provider operating the tool. Wharton County Inmate Population does not store those search terms on its own systems. The provider may apply its own privacy policy, pricing rules, and account terms.
Messages
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, the information in that message may be kept long enough to review and respond. Contact messages are not shared outside the organization except when required by law, legal process, or a valid order from an authorized body.
Information Collected Automatically
Routine technical data may be collected when pages load. This data helps operate the site, understand errors, and measure how visitors use Wharton County jail roster, court-record, and locator pages.

Outside Websites and Records Law
This site links to outside jail rosters, sheriff pages, clerk portals, court resources, TDCJ, BOP, ICE, VINELink, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the outside site's privacy notice and terms control. Public records requested from Wharton County or another Texas government body may also be governed by Texas Government Code Chapter 552 and any applicable confidentiality rule.
Advertising partners may use their own cookies or tracking tools to measure ad activity across websites. That processing occurs on the partner's systems, not as a Wharton County government function.
